About Mariam

Hello! I’m a positive psychologist, writer, and educator.

I holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology degree from the University of Pennsylvania as the 2023 Christopher Peterson Memorial Fellowship recipient. I’ve presented my research on well-being, narratives, and education at various international conferences including the 2024 UNIS-UN Conference at the United Nations General Assembly. After completing my MAPP degree, I co-founded Kaitzak, the first strengths-based organization aimed at building healthy global diaspora communities.

In my creative work, I draws upon themes of resilience and the collective human heart. My writing has been published or is forthcoming in psyche, Oh Reader, Pangyrus, The Razor, UNIS Magazine, EVN Report, and The Armenian Weekly, among others. In 2025, I was a selected mentee in the 2025 International Armenian Literary Alliance Mentorship Program. You can read my writing here.

I’m available for speaking opportunities on topics including education, community well-being, and positive psychology. For speaking arrangements, please contact me directly.
